Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Ruby Port'
Common Name: Columbine 'Ruby Port'Aquilegia are clump-forming herbaceous perennials with long-stalked, ternately divided basal leaves and erect, leafy stems bearing bell-shaped flowers with spreading, coloured sepals and petals with spurs, on branched stems. 'Ruby Port' is a relatively short-lived perennial, to around 75cm tall, with divided, round-lobed leaves. Flowers are double and without spurs, appearing in late spring and early summer, they are a mid to dark red, with yellow stamens, and are carried on dark stems
